Brotherhood President's Message

From the president, Joe Boccuzzi

The most important asset this temple has is it's people.

People often ask me, "What is the purpose of the Brotherhood?" I say, "To build Jewish community among our men and serve the temple."

I often come across former or inactive members of BHC. They tell me that they have not felt connected, so they don't show up, except for maybe high holidays. Even worse, maybe they let their membership lapse or have never joined at all because they don't see why they should.

That is where you can help change that feeling. By choosing to be a member of BHC, you demonstrate support for Jewish community. By choosing to be a Brotherhood member, you open the door to feeling more connected and further provide support towards binding together men in the Jewish community.

You may see an announcement for an event and it seems interesting, but you feel unconnected, and so you don't go. Please don't be a weak link. Be a Link Leader -- Call one friend and support each other in deciding to attend. Link together. Help build the chain that binds men together to form a strong chain of men. Join the chain gang. Together we can then serve the Temple and secure a strong Jewish presence in it.

When you receive your temple statement, please remember to check the box "yes" to include your separate $45 membership in Brotherhood. Otherwise, please call the office to make the separate $45 payment to become or continue to be a Brother member in a strong chain of men.

Sincerely,
Joe Boccuzzi - President
