Bereavement Programs

Bereavement Support Group

BHC will start another bereavement group, “When You’ve Lost a Loved One,” a chance for Congregants and family members to be supported by our community. Robert Cohen, PhD, PA, will be the facilitator. The group will meet for six consecutive Sunday mornings beginning April 14 through May 19.

For more information contact Family Concerns Chair Carol Caplan, carolcjca@comcast.net, or 410-764-1587, ext. 270.

Bereavement Guides Program

The BHC Family Concerns Committee is organizing a program for volunteers to provide contact, friendly support and guidance to newly bereaved members of the Congregation. Volunteers will receive training in the psychosocial and religious aspects of mourning, and have ongoing backup support and guidance from members of the Bereavement sub-committee.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Bereavement Guide or feel that such a guide could be a comfort to you in your time of loss, please contact Carol Caplan at carolcjca@comcast.net or 410-764-1587, ext. 270.
